SEBC 2015: Rocking the Builders Conference
Last weekend, DocuWrx packed up the house yet again and visited Orlando, FL to attend the Southeast Builders Conference (SEBC 2015), hosted at the Orange County Convention Center. The event theme “SEBC Rocks” was displayed in full, providing a great combination of business and pleasure within the apparent 80’s hairband driven atmosphere. Even the complimentary care package was equipped with an electric guitar USB drive. Getting together in the largest neighboring city to our Tampa Bay roots, this was a great experience to convene and converse with some of the best builders throughout the Southeast.
As Eric is currently out of town visiting some of our clients and representing DocuWrx at FileMaker DevCon 2015, I was accompanied by Jojo Opoku. As one of our newer Solutions Consultants, this was a great learning opportunity for Jojo, who seeks to combine his knowledge of software programming and solution development in order to provide our clients with the ideal answer to their questions and problems. Jojo was able to field a diverse range of inquiries spanning across various industries, company sizes, and specific needs, contributing greatly to our ability to serve and support any client interested in getting their business on the right track to success and organizational excellence.
This opportunity has also come at a great time for DocuWrx, as we are finalizing some of the last options and have been preparing for the public launch of our newest product, Kosmas Online. I was able to begin demonstrating some of the dynamic features and sleek user interface that we have put together for this web accessible version. Gathering a resoundingly a great initial reception, Kosmas Online is currently expected to be available on Monday, August 17, and will provide usability to any device capable of accessing a web browser, including Android devices. These changes are made possible thanks to the recent upgrade of FileMaker 14 and FileMaker WebDirect capabilities.
Some of the conversations I’ve been lucky enough to have at this convention have given me insight to the specific needs and concerns of custom home builders and general contracting firms. The potential clients I have spoken to not only expressed their direct needs for management software, but also the deficiencies in their current solutions. This invaluable knowledge will be a key factor in standing above our competitors with both feature offerings and price.
I am proud to say that this has undoubtedly been another successful conference for the DocuWrx team as we push forward to improve awareness and recognition within both the software development and construction management industries. We look forward to the opportunity to exhibit again next year at SEBCville 2016 hosted at the exotic Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center.
